The Plaspoelpolder in Rijswijk is an easily accessible business park in the heart of the Randstad. The business park covers six decades of activity and has organically evolved into the largest and most versatile business park of The Hague region. Plaspoelpolder has 15,000 employees and nearly 400 companies a real job creator in the region.History

The area was largely developed in the sixties and seventies and was one of the first major industrial sites of its kind. Originally focused on industry, later it has gradually shifted towards offices and small businesses. Shell and the European Patent Office belong to the first generation of companies in the area. Later, we have started many other local, regional and international companies and institutions.Transition

Different parts of the Plaspoelpolder have been redeveloped or are planned to be redeveloped. The station area is completely renovated and has been given a very modern look. The harbor area at the headland currently being redeveloped with new flexible sustainable business units, a catering facility and a commercial marina. The European Patent Office will start in 2014 with the construction of a new permanent headquarters on the site of the present office. The opening of the Plaspoelpolder in recent years completely renovated with private entrance and exit of the A4.
